Emergency food supplies are a planned set of items covering 2 weeks to 3 months without shopping. Choose by nutrition, shelf life, ease of preparation, and calories per weight.

Plan by duration

  • • 2-week supply: minimum for every household, basic long-life staples
  • • 1-month supply: recommended for most families, needs steady rotation
  • • 3-month supply: advanced level, needs dedicated storage space

Calorie needs

  • • Adult (moderate activity): 2000-2500 kcal/day
  • • Physical labor: 3000-3500 kcal/day
  • • Children 4-10: 1400-1800 kcal/day
  • • Teenagers: 2000-2800 kcal/day
