Solar Radiation Information
Solar radiation is electromagnetic energy emitted by the Sun. It is measured in watts per square meter (W/m²).
- Total Radiation (Shortwave): Sum of direct and diffuse solar radiation reaching the surface.
- Direct Radiation: Radiation arriving directly from the Sun without scattering.
- Diffuse Radiation: Radiation scattered by the atmosphere.
- DNI (Direct Normal Irradiance): Direct radiation measured on a surface perpendicular to the sun's rays.
Radiation Levels:
- 0-100 W/m²: Very low (night/heavy clouds)
- 100-300 W/m²: Low (cloudy)
- 300-600 W/m²: Moderate (partly cloudy)
- 600-800 W/m²: Good (mostly sunny)
- 800+ W/m²: Excellent (clear sky)
